Preschool and Childcare
Marshall Public Schools “Shamrock Center,” provides programming for children, 3 years old to 13 years old.

Parents may choose from the following tuition-based options:
  • Preschool programming with options for wrap around care
  • Before School age Care
  • After School age Care
  • A combination of the above
  • School’s Out –Non-school days
Great Start Readiness Program (Preschool) **GSRP**

GSRP, is a preschool program serving four-year-old children and is free or at a low cost to families that qualify. Children must attain the age of four on or before September 1st 2016, and meet state determined income eligibility and/or risk factors The program focuses on building skills to ready students for the transition to kindergarten.

Calhoun Great Start County Connections
Calhoun Great Start County Connections playgroups are FREE and open to all families with children birth to 5 years old who live in Calhoun County.

Playgroup Locations:
  • Crowell Elementary: 1418 Cooper Street, Albion
  • Kids ‘N’ Stuff Children’s Museum: 301 South Superior Street, Albion
  • Shamrock Center: 400 North Gordon Street, Marshall
  • Kids Time: 3540 M66, Athens

Summer Camps & Chiild Care Programs
Summer Camps and Child Care Programs
Programs with a focus on enrichment for elementary and preschool students. At the Shamrock Center your child will spend time looking closely at nature, playing games and developing the social skills needed to be independent and confident. Weekly themes are developed based on children’s interests and scheduled prior to the beginning of summer. This program is open to all children ages 3 to 13. Before and after camp child care also available on site.

Before and After Playground Child Care Summer Program

The Shamrock Center also partners with the Marshall City Recreation Department to provide children who are attending the City Recreation Department’s Summer Playground with a full day of child care and summer fun. This program is operates before and after the City Recreation’s Playground Program and is open to all children ages 5 – 12.
