Dear Marshall Public Schools Parents,

Please register your child, if you have not already done so.

Registering a student will require you to have an email account, however, you may create a free gmail account. The below process will take about 8 minutes:

To create a gmail account:

  1. Go to

  2. Click Create account.

  3. The sign-up form will appear. ...

  4. Next, enter your phone number to verify your account. ...

  5. You will receive a text message from Google with a verification code. ...

  6. Next, you will see a form to enter some of your personal information, like your name and birthday.

After creating your gmail account (if you do not already have an email account), you may begin the MPS registration process.  Registering will take about 15 minutes.

Once you log into ParentPortal ( look for the following:

  1. FORMS (on the left side of the page) - click on FORMS

  2. ENROLLMENT (top left just above your child’s name) - click on ENROLLMENT

  3. 01. STUDENT DEMOGRAPHICS - click on this

  4. Complete the information and then click SUBMIT

  5. It will automatically move you to the next page

  6. Complete the same process for all 15 pages 

  7. At the end, you will receive a PENDING message - That is a good thing

  8. Once we approve your registration information it will no longer be PENDING

If any Marshall Public Schools parent needs assistance registering, they may come to the HS (teacher parking lot side - by the auditorium) on the following dates and times for help:

  1. Monday, September 14 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  2. Tuesday, September 15 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

  3. Wednesday, September 16 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

  4. Please bring your child’s Chromebook if you can

  5. You must wear a mask

We encourage you to call the attendance line at 269-781-1291 to report that your student will be out of school due to illness and also report the symptoms.  Thank you for your support. 
Please call by 9:00 a.m. if your student is going to be absent and leave the following information:
- your student's full name
- your name and relationship to the student
- the reason the student is absent
- if your student is ill, please report the symptoms that your student has
If your student has an appointment, please send the doctor note to the attendance office for documentation.
If you are planning an extended leave or vacation, please fill out the form here and submit to the middle school office two weeks prior to leaving.
Marshall Middle School Athletics
After the MHSAA’s announcement on Thursday August 20th, the Interstate-8 Athletic Directors held an emergency meeting.  After careful consideration the Interstate-8 will delay Middle School Athletics at this time.  August 24th was a potential start date.  We will continue to monitor Michigan’s Return to School Roadmap and the MHSAA’s guidance.  It is our intention to have an update on Friday September 11th.
