Semester Exams
Will be held on the following dates:
  • Wednesday, January 24th, 2018 for 1st and 4th periods - full day of school
  • Thursday, January 25th, 2018 for 2nd and 5th periods - full day of school
  • Friday, January 26th, 2018 for 3rd and 6th hours - 1/2 day of school, students will be dismissed at 10:55am 
 
Winterfest
On Thursday, Feb. 1st, 2018 there will be an all-school assembly during seminar to kick off out Winterfest activities. On Thursday, Feb. 8th, 2018 there will be the annual Volleyball game during seminar and then the Winterfest Dance is on Saturday, Feb. 10th here at the high school. Winterfest dress-up days are as follows:
  • Monday, Feb. 5th, 2018: Michigan Winter Day (winter hats are okay but NOT baseball type hats)
  • Tuesday, Feb. 6th, 2018: Movie/TV/Book Character Day
  • Wednesday, Feb. 7th, 2018: Places You’ve gone
  • Thursday, Feb. 8th, 2018: White Out Day
  • Friday, Feb. 9th, 2018: Jersey Day
If your student plans to bring another student who is NOT a student at MHS to the Winterfest Dance, a completed guest dance application must be received at the office for approval no later than Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 by 3pm., no late applications will be accepted.  Applications are available in the main office or or by clicking here
 
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Conferences will be held on Wednesday, February 14th, 2018 (full day of school) from 3:30pm to 6:30pm and again on Thursday, February 15th, 2018 (1/2 day of school) from 1:00-4:00pm.  All conferences are arena-style in our cafeteria, no appointment is necessary.  
 
 
Blood Drive
Our National Honors Society is again proud to sponsor Blood Drives for the American Red Cross this upcoming school year – our 3rd and final drive is scheduled for Friday, Friday, March 2nd, 2018.  All donors will be asked to sign up with either Mrs. Caro in room 118 or Mrs. Tobias in room 122.  A student must be 16 years old and weigh at least 110 pounds. For more information on donating blood, visit: http://www.redcrossblood.org/students/donating-101. For our 16 year old students interested in donating:  A parent will need to review the Students Guide to Blood Donation and sign the parent/guardian consent form for the student to be able to donate blood. The consent form will be available from either Mrs. Caro or Mrs. Tobias and you must bring the completed form the day of the blood drive in order to donate blood

Security at MHS

As a reminder:  please ring the buzzer located at the student and teacher’s entrances for admittance to the high school.  All visitors entering the MHS during the school day are required to ring the buzzer, state your name and tell us the purpose of your visit prior to being buzzed into MHS. Once you enter, please report to the main office, thank you for your assistance in keeping our students and staff safe.

For students: please show your student ID to the camera at the buzzer.

 
REPORTING A STUDENT ATTENDANCE

To report a student(s) absence, please call 269-781-1337, this line is for attendance calls only, this line is not answered throughout the day, and messages will only be retrieved at the end of the day.

When a student arrives late or leaves the school day early, all students/parents must sign in or sign out in the main office on the computer located on Mrs. Stepp's counter.

If you need to get a message to your child at the end of the day, get your student(s) out of school early
or for general high school information, please contact Mrs. Stepp at 781-1252, option 0 or via email at rstepp@marshallpublicschools.org

If you know in advance that you will be taking your student on a vacation/family trip etc, have your student stop in the office to pick up a Vacation Form, or click below for the form, get all the required signatures and then turn it into the office for approval 2 weeks prior to the trip.
