The high school will close for the summer on Friday, June 29th and will reopen on Monday, August 6th.  Summer office hours are: 7 am until 3:00 pm Monday – Friday. 

 If your student needs a transcript, student files, scholarship information college applications, registration information or athletic information, you MUST request the information from the guidance office before the end of June of after August 13th.

During the time the office is closed, work permits and transcripts may only be obtained by appointment. Email Mr. Hutchins at shutchins@marshallpublicschools.org.

Summer Homework
If your student will be taking any of the following courses next school year, they must stop by the respective teacher to pick up any summer homework before leaving for the summer.
  • AP World History with Mr. Dryer in room 216
  • AP U.S. History with Mr. Swaton in room 222
  • AP Government with Ms. Herman in room 207
  • AP Biology with Mr. Griffith in room 120
  • AP Stats with Mrs. Caro in room 118
  • English 11 Honors with Mr. Fitzpatrick in room 223
  • AP English 12 with Mrs. Smith in room 227

Security at MHS

As a reminder:  please ring the buzzer located at the student and teacher’s entrances for admittance to the high school.  All visitors entering the MHS during the school day are required to ring the buzzer, state your name and tell us the purpose of your visit prior to being buzzed into MHS. Once you enter, please report to the main office, thank you for your assistance in keeping our students and staff safe.

For students: please show your student ID to the camera at the buzzer.


To report a student(s) absence, please call 269-781-1337, this line is for attendance calls only, this line is not answered throughout the day, and messages will only be retrieved at the end of the day.

When a student arrives late or leaves the school day early, all students/parents must sign in or sign out in the main office on the computer located on Mrs. Stepp's counter.

If you need to get a message to your child at the end of the day, get your student(s) out of school early
or for general high school information, please contact Mrs. Stepp at 781-1252, option 0 or via email at rstepp@marshallpublicschools.org

If you know in advance that you will be taking your student on a vacation/family trip etc, have your student stop in the office to pick up a Vacation Form, or click below for the form, get all the required signatures and then turn it into the office for approval 2 weeks prior to the trip.
