Water, Water STEM Geekend March 3, 2018

Its a new year, and the Water, Water Geekend on March 3, 2018 is open for registration for students from 4th grade to 8th grade.  As the name suggests, the theme of this Geekend is water.  Students and adult companions will be able to participate in the following activities by clicking on the link below:

Tardigrade Hunt:  Dr. Lyons from Albion College's Biology Department will lead a hunt for Tardigrades (also known as water bears).  Kids will enjoy using their own microscope and comparing their observations while learning about this incredible organism.

SCUBA-SCUBA: Underwater Sports and Aquatics once again hosts THE most popular activity of the Geekends. Students will either learn the basics of SCUBA diving, or continue their SCUBA skills. A big thanks to the Albion Community Foundation for Sponsoring this event.

Drone-megeddon: Mr. Raddatz once again pulls out the drones (or ROVs) for this very popular event. Students will remote pilot an under water robot or code drones to complete a arial obstacle course.

Water Minecraft: Students will explore water ecosystems using Minecraft. A hit from the October Geekend, we continue to add, mod, and explore science using Minecraft.edu.

Once again, space is limited so sign up soon!
