Parent/Teacher Conferences:
Mark your calendar as parent/teacher conferences will be held on:
Tuesday, February 21 3:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Wednesday, February 22 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
All conferences will be held in the gymnasium. Please use the gym entrance at the back of the school, upon entering the gym there will be a table to pick up your students report card.
8th Grade Parent Meeting: On Tuesday, February 21 at 5:30 p.m. there will be an 8th grade parent meeting in the auditorium – 8th grade teachers feel this is a very important meeting for all parents to attend and after the meeting if you have questions all teachers will be available in the gym during the conference hours of 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
“Reading is Magic” Book Fair
Sales will begin Tuesday evening, February 21, during parent conferences and will continue through the school day on Wednesday and Thursday as well as during Wednesday conferences. Students may come to purchase during the school day provided they have a teacher’s permission.
Jeans for Teens
Did you know that 1 in 8 teenagers in America are homeless? Marshall Middle School and DoSomething.org are joining together to help by collecting jeans. From now through February 10 bring in gently used jeans to donate to the Teens for Jeans program.
Marshall Community Foundation Scholarships
The Marshall Community Foundation is pleased to announce the offering of scholarships providing enrichment opportunities for Marshall Public Schools students, grades 5 thru 11. The scholarships are endowment funds provided through the generosity of donors, families and friends of the community.
Applications and detailed information is available in the middle school office or by visiting the Marshall Community Foundation website (www.marshallcf.org). All applications are due by April 1, 2012
PCO News
The Marshall Middle School PCO has popcorn sales two Friday’s each month during our lunch times (11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.) at this time they are looking for volunteers that are willing to come in and pop the corn. If you are interested, please contact Vicki Neubaum at mom10282@yahool.com.
