SENIOR PICTURES:
For senior pictures, we need a simple headshot only picture (no hands or arms up around the face). This picture can be either black and white or color, whichever your studio can send us more easily. The deadline to turn in the senior picture is the end of the 1st semester in January; no late pictures will be accepted. Arrange to have your final pictures ordered before December. Parents, also be aware that the yearbook staff will be offering the opportunity for you to buy a personalized ad to "congratulate" your senior. Be looking for fliers from the school with more information about that late in the fall.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION OF THE DAY OF GRADUATION ~ MAKE PLANS WITH EMPLOYERS NOW TO HAVE THIS TIME OFF OF WORK!:
GRADUATION PRACTICE is at 9:00am sharp on Saturday, June 1st IN THE HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUM. This rehearsal takes time (approximately 2 hours). Please plan to be patient and to remain until dismissed by your class advisor, Mrs. Stepp. Everyone MUST BE present; this is MANDATORY! Any student unable to attend should contact Mr. Luciani or Mrs. Stepp immediately. You should make your employer aware of this date and time. The ONLY exception to missing practice is a sports state meet.
The TRADITIONAL PARADE through town will take place at 6:00pm (seniors will gather at 5:45pm) on June 1st beginning at the Marshall Middle School walking down Green Street to S. Grand, then down Michigan Avenue to S. Madison and back to the Middle School. Seniors will then report to the high school for Commencement. Caps and Gowns are to be worn in the parade.
COMMENCEMENT is at 7:00pm on Saturday, June 1st in the High School GYMNASIUM, 701 N. Marshall Avenue. Seats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. The doors to the GYMNASIUM will NOT open until 6:30pm. WE ASK THAT ALL GUESTS OF THE GRADUATES PLEASE REMAIN SEATED UNTIL ALL GRADUATES HAVE LEFT THE GYMNASIUM FOLLOWING THE COMMENCEMENT CEREMONY. Commencement is a once in a lifetime milestone and we are doing everything we can to make it a happy and dignified occasion. School officials, representatives of the senior class and faculty ask that the following requests be honored:
* Parents and friends are asked to take a seat in the bleachers and be ready so that the program can begin promptly and remain until after the graduates leave the gymnasium.
* Parents and friends are asked to refrain from talking or visiting during the program.
* Parents and friends are asked to refrain from any clapping, yelling, whistling, or other types of exuberance when the names of the graduates are called for diplomas. Although this is a momentous event, we believe that such conduct detracts from the dignity of the exercise.
* Seniors; beach balls, Frisbees, powder, etc., detracts from the elegance of the commencement ceremony so please do not bring them onto the field (or in the gym) during graduation.
* Parents and seniors, please be aware that there is a commencement dress code. We ask that all seniors wear appropriate graduation attire. For the men, a collared shirt and dress pants and for the women, a dress or blouse with a skirt or dress slacks. Footwear is required for safety reasons and tennis shoes are not considered appropriate attire.
* Should a senior report for commencement and it is apparent the student is under the influence of an illegal substance, the individual will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony. The graduation ceremony is like any other extracurricular activity to which school policies apply.
* Students should understand that as the end of the school approaches, an administrator's disciplinary options diminish to the point that revoking graduation privileges may be the only remaining option.
VIDEO CAMERAS as well as regular cameras are allowed at the ceremony, but in the stands only. Please do not come out on the field/or floor to take pictures. Kzoom will be video-taping the Graduation ceremony. If you want to purchase a copy, please contact Kzoom at 269-330-6565 or visit their website at:
www.kzoom.com .
